Travel Vaccination FAQs
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally 6 to 8 weeks before travel to allow time for full vaccine courses. However, we can still help with urgent or last-minute trips – contact us to discuss your needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with Wilberforce Pharmacy Travel Clinic. Our pharmacists are qualified to carry out travel health consultations and administer vaccinations without a GP referral.
Can I get multiple vaccines in one visit?
Yes – most travellers receive several vaccines in a single appointment. Your pharmacist will advise on the recommended schedule and which vaccines can be given together safely.
Is the Yellow Fever certificate valid internationally?
Yes. Wilberforce Pharmacy is an approved Yellow Fever vaccination centre. We provide the official ICVP (International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis) which is recognised globally.
What if I am travelling in less than two weeks?
Contact us as soon as possible. We offer urgent appointments and can prioritise the most important vaccines for your trip even with limited time before departure.
Do you provide anti-malarials?
Yes. We can prescribe and dispense anti-malarial tablets appropriate for your destination and health profile. This is assessed as part of your travel consultation.
